Does anyone answer the boring questions about setting up BT broadband? I for one skim over these questions and prefer to answer the more interesting ones.

i dont even know what BT broadband is so yeah i usually skip them. i prefer answering questions about makeup and things

i skim them because i don't know the answer, i answer the questions that i feel i can offer good advice from, from the point of view of having had that experience myself or something. i avoid the hate section (religion and spirituality), anything to do with the mcganns, celebrity speculation or questions designed to inflame or get attention. in short i answer the intelligent questions to which i feel i can give intelligent answers.

Actually, your question is fairly intriguing, so kudos to you for getting someone's attention. :)
In general, people tend to answer questions that relate to their every day activities, and what they're mostly familiar with.
If I just took my cat to the vet today, and someone mentions a question about cats and vets, I'm most likely to answer, however, on any other day, I might not.
So, technically, I think eventually, someone else with same interests, might come accross your question and answer it.

I tend to stray towards the interesting questions or dull questions that I have an interesting answer for .

I don't answer them for the simple reason that i don't know the answer. If i did, i'd try and help no matter what the question was!!
