My boyfriend is an Aquarius and I am a Virgo...
We seem to get along just fine contrary to what the signs say. I try not to be critical and he tries not to be too aloof. We both love our freedom and respect the freedom of the other persons... seems to work for us... hmmm? We can go a long time without seeing the other person and always come back and it feels like everything is fine... everyone is saying our relationship is weird though... I am just wondering if that has to do with our astrological signs... we don't live that far apart - we just literally don't see eachother a lot and are fine with it. We talk at least once a day though...and we both make eachother laugh like crazy. Any thoughts as to why our relationship seems to work despite all the ho-hum about the Virgo-Aquarius relationship thing or have we just made it work for us by accepting the differences and learning from them?

It works because the both of you have put the effort into understanding how the other works. I'm Aquarius and I've never been in a relationship (platonic or romantic) with a Virgo because all the ones I know of are very critical and nag at me a lot. They think that my style of clothing, music, hangouts, etc. is weird and that gets on my nerves. It works for you because you try not to be so critical and your Aquarian tries not to be so aloof, already knowing that that quality might irritate you. I think that any two people can make a relationship work as long as both people try to understand each other's flaws and work around them. Good for you!

I'm an Aquarius & I'm with a Virgo & our relationship is good, but it is weird. We have been together for 8 years & we've lived together for 31/2 years. We've been apart for a total of 2 years & when we got back together, it was like we were on vacation or something. We do have our moments when we don't always agree on something. A lot of people don't understand our relationship, but who cares what everybody else thinks, as long as we can deal with each other, screw everyone else. They just want what we have & they can't, that's the way we look at it. The zodiac says that we aren't compatible, I don't believe that.

My bf's an Aqua, her man's Virgo. I am Aqua, my hubby's Virgo. This pairing seems to be a match made in heaven--a good balance of differences, especially if the two respect one another. Aqua and Virgo are the only human signs in the Zodiac. Maybe on the outside the pairing is quirky, like my friend and her man--he's bookish; a total Arthur Miller to her Marilyn Monroe--she's a living bombshell. He thinks deeply, she skims across subjects, but zeroes in on their truths precisely. Both possess a fine mind. It's weird, but it works. Freedom is paramount in my marriage. We are both very independent people, and we love that in one another! It's a pleasure not to be in a strangle hold love affair.
Maybe the Virgo/Aqua pairing is weird because the pairing is a happy one? Most people think those that are functional are weird!

It works fine for you both because you dont see each other alot of the time.
When the time comes for you both to be together alot or whatever, you will see some differences I'm sure.
Aquarius & Virgo's dont make for good relationships.
