The last day of my period was on May 19th, and I got a positive result (albeit a very faint line) on June 9th (exactly 21 days later). Then a darker line on the 11th. Does that seem early? Or is it normal? The box said most women can't get a positive result until at least five days before their period, so I'm just wondering. Thanks!

It just means that you have more hormone in your body earlier.

Usually that is a sign of a great, strong pregnancy. That is what every woman wants.

You may have even gotten pregnant soon after your last period.....soon enough that it showed up on the test.

Like the last poster, you could also be carrying twins!!!

That happened to me too. You ovulate/conceive about 2 weeks after the first day of your last period. These tests can now tell you before you even miss your period. The line is getting darker because the HCG level is increasing, which is a good sign.

Also, your cycle has nothing to do with the last day of your period, only the first day. So if you began your period around May 13th, 2 weeks after that would have been May 27th, and got a positive result about 13 days past ovulation. I got a positive result 6 days after ovulation using these really early detectors.

I got a positive a few days before I missed my period. The line came up in like, half a second. It's twins!

you may haveovulated earlier than 14 days, so you impalned earlier and started giving off hormone earlier. Or its twins+, more babies means more hormones
