I helped rescue a Thoroughbred racehorse - who had been retired due to illness several years ago - from ever racing again. He had been put back into racing after being illegally sold from the farm the original owner had sent him to for retirement.
He is now based on a farm in Lexington, KY, and I may try to drive down there for a visit.
