I don't see anything humorous about it, and how do you know they're here illegally?

To an extent. There was a lot of underhanded dealings in purchasing land from many Indian tribes. Take the entire state of Kentucky. If I am not mistaken, the entire state was bought from an Indian tribe who was at war with the tribe who staked their claim in what is now Kentucky. However, it was bought. One failure in your arguement is that you aren't basing it on law, just what it right. Moral and ethical are not the same thing as legal. An example you cited was slavery. Even at the time of slave trade, which was legal, you wouldn't have to look very hard to find someone who would say in a heartbeat that slavery was both immoral and unethical. The example you had with the Brits, well, wars of expansion were not illegal, and again, some of the purchases were all above board, others were hands down immoral or unethical. However, they were backed up with the force of law. That law may have been the British crown, and you may debate the Crown's legitimacy, but they were willing to back up their law with force. Tribes fought it, and many times they lost. The Irish, Italians, etc, etc who came by boat, yeah. Again, they came under immigration laws as established by the government of the United States. You should google Ellis Island. You may learn something about the big migration to America during the time of that center's operations. What is horrid is that you are appearing to back the illegal immigrants by saying that they come here to be exploited, which appears to be ok with you. Do you find it either moral or ethical that Haitians, Cubans, and Mexicans cross the border to do jobs at a fraction of the wages, basically being exploited? Oh, it's not suddenly against the law. Those same people who cross illegally now would have been illegal immigrants 100 years ago, too. You cannot say the same about imported slaves as they were property not people, so that fell under commerce laws. Hey, I am NOT saying it was right, just what it was. My favorite line in your whole topic was this. "this isn't even OUR land to begin with!" Well, please, feel free to use another set of laws that deal with emmigration, which is the opposite of immigration. Feel free to try to go back to the land where your family came from. What you will find, though, is that it is much harder to immigrate to almost any county in the world than it is to come to the US. The only country I can think of that is easier to immigrate to is Israel if you are a Jew. Other than that, it's not very easy to immigrate to another country. But please, feel free to leave the land that you believe that you are illigimately occupying. You alone can't make it right, but at least you would have done your part and set an example.

Great question! The Zapatistas, backed by subversive American Organizations such as the Democratic Party, Ford Foundation, Republican Party, Rockefeller Foudation, etc, are fomenting rebellion and civil war in the Hispanic community. La Raza asserts that California is part of Mexico. Many in the Hispanic community are here to feed off the very fat of the land they hate.
Keep an eye on this thing! It is gonna get worse!
The Bush Pukers say they are beefing up our borders while at the same time, behind the scenes, they are dismantling them. They push for the destruction of our sovereignty and dissolving us into a North American Union, styled after the European Union. We will soon have no borders and a regional government will trump our Supreme Court and Congress and law enforcement. True taxation with NO representation. My Senator from Nevada, John Ensign is such a leech, sucking at the nipple of Bush et al, he just believes everything Bush tells him. John is a good guy, but he is so naive, so clueless, so politically motivated, so unwise just like all the other American Political Lemmings.
The Nafta Superhighway which is a huge part of our new NAU, is already under construction in Texas. The people there are trying to stop it, but the Bush machine cares not one tiny bit about Americans who feed it. Oklahoma is fighting it too and they experience the same stonewalling. The Nafta superhighway system, when completed will have displaced millions of homes and businesses under Eminent Domain.
Kiss America Good Bye! If Americans don't stop this machine, it will crush us more than it already does.

I think no matter where your from this is America we have freedom of choice right? Soooo if someone comes in from a different country and wants to remember and acknowledge there previous home with a flag ,why not but if they come here to embrace America as there home now then they should respect our flag and our country. We the people of America have welcomed many , from across the world sooo can we not expect a certain behavior from others as well. No one should come here and try to change America into what they left behind, if they want that then your right they should go back to where they came from.

It's not "wrong", and I wouldn't necessarily consider it humorous either. Just pride in your home country, who cares?
I think it's a bit more funny on Mexican holidays like cinco de mayo, the majority of those who aren't Mexican, and know nothing about Mexico, all run out to the bars to get wasted and party. Same with St. Patrick's Day and tons of other holidays.

Illegals with the Mexican flag is comparable to the KKK with the Confederate flag. Both groups need to get over it.

You don't understand a thing about immigration...
If you just spend one day with the kind, hardworking people who work 12 hours without complaining, sacrifice many of his/her own need to send money to support family... you'll never dream about joke their lives!!!
Illegal immigrants from Mexico, they are the most amazing group of people I've met! Have you ever looked into their beautiful eyes?!

the US(ECONOMY) has a thirving jobs industry(i think more than any other country besides japan or china) we just have more oportunities to lead a life here. but that does not mean you have abandoned your heritage of your country. just because you live here does not mean you can no longer be part of the country you grew up in
