i wanna wash my car but i dont have any car soap and i dont wanna spend money if i dont have to. is dish detergent safe? like dawn dish soap or whatever

it is safe for the finish but it will remove all the wax, a lot of body shops wash vehicles with dishsoap for that reason. i would recomend using a comercially available car wash detergent instead.

a lot of people will say u can use it but i dont think you should. dish washing soap will eat right through yours car paint eventually, how do you think it gets all those tough stains off your dishes?

not really it seems to strip the wax off and leaves streaks
