Yes. When I'm reading poetry of other people's, i get a sense of what they're feeling. If i have the same feelings too, i write about it. I NEVER steal other people's work, never! I merely get to the point a different way. There's poetry around us everyday, and some people just dont know when its there. Just look around, you'll be inspired.

Yes. The best thing about poetry is that it is usually written from the heart and it can not be wrong. Poetry speaks of what people are thinking or feeling. Poetry is very personal.

Yes, as a caring human being, I along with everyone else can be inspired by poetry. Are we inspired? I believe if one takes the time to read poetry, probably out loud even, that people will be inspired.

Most deffinatly. Poetry is about emotion. If a poem is powerful enough to spark emotions in the readers, than it is a sucessful poem and will indeed inspire other poets. I hada debate on this recently. Some people say that you should not read others peoples work and should not work off from what they have to say, because that makes your own work not yours afterall. I disagree though. Feelings are universal, not a single person is incapable of feeling. And so if you read a poem, it may bring emotions that you have stored away from your own life. Poetry is beautiful in that no one can be a sucessful poet on their own. Poets are a family in a way because we all help eachother, we leave our voice in the works we write that will help generations later become amazing poets aswell. Poetry is all about inspiration. Without other poetry to work from, poetry would be bland. so read on everyone!

Said with "chung in teak": Naaahhh!

Seriously, though, I really have been inspired; even posted a couple myself -- and I am no poet!

I won't tell you how much time I've spent in the Poetry section, while other tasks go unattended.

Don't do today what you can put off until tomorrow, while you read today's poetry.

Some, immensely.

If the sentiments and style are too alien, I may not be able to connect. If they are too familiar, the poetry may just seem trite, though skilled word-craft might still be appreciated.

The best of poets can reach me where I am, and show me something more.

And I think for a poet who knew human beings, and could write about them, it's hard to do better than Rudyard Kipling.

Every poet gets inspiration from people and other things. I get more inspiration in emotions and nights, specially from the moon.

If it's well written and conveys the feelings or invoke some of my own, then yes. I actually love to read and write poetry.
