What are my rights? Do I have to sign it? What are usually the strikes before getting written up?

It depends on what you did and the companies policy.. Generally speaking a write up is not a big deal... It's just a documentation that you did something wrong.. You do have the right to write out your justification for what you did to be put on file as well. Sometimes if you don't sign a write-up, you can be fired, however these instances are far and few between.. Read your hire manual and find out what exactly your rights are... Mainly, I wouldn't sweat it...It's just documentation....Just don't do it again...

well all companies have different policies..normally when you do smoething wrong the first time they talk to you, that would be a verbal.......then they write you up....but I wouldn't sign anything before sitting back down and asking them why they didn't talk to you about this before. That is if you did the same thing.

Good luck!
