Slughorn (because Voldemort will find out that he shared the information about the horcruxes)

Snape
Because I think Snape wants Voldemort vanquished, and the only way to redeem himself to Harry is through a significant death, since Snape's words and actions mean NOTHING to Harry (or us, for that matter!)

Lupin
He was doing undercover work for the Order, and spying on Greyback and the werewolves.... but in the battle at Hogwarts, Lupin exposed his loyalty to the Order, and Greyback saw... I think Greyback will be looking for revenge!

Voldemort
Because he's a super-villain. Just like Sauron and the Emperor couldn't be vanquished without being killed, Voldemort must die at the end, in order for the Harry Potter world to be saved.

I can't wait either!!! It's going to be a great July for Harry Potter fans!

There are multiple logical answers to this question...I believe it has been released that 2 main characters will die in the last installment. Since this book is the last It would be logical for Harry to die so the series would not be continued later. Voldemort is also a logical choice because he is the main Villan. Ron and Hermione could be it because they are Harry's best friends and they are developing a love intrest. Snape or Malfoy are also a possibility because they are the new traitors in the series. Personally I think Malfoy and Voldemort will be the ones to kick the bucket because they are both evil but it is still a sad thing when a child has to die because of the people around him.

It was confirmed that 2 main characters die, right?

I was thinking, does this mean from the trio? Or does it open it up to Ginny, Neville, Luna, Lupin?

If it's from the trio, I hope either they all live; or both Ron and Hermione die; or just Harry dies. I'm a Ron/Hermione shipper, so I would really hate if one of them died before they really excepted their obvious feelings for one another. If Harry dies though, I would kind of hope that Ginny dies too. Because I'm also a Harry/Ginny shipper.

If the "main" character range in broadened, I would assume it to be Neville that dies. I have kind of always thought that he would die to allow Harry to kill Voldy.

On a side note, does the death count count Voldy? Because then only one would die (Crosses fingers for Neville). And Wormtail deserves to die too.

I think lord voldermorth and Herminie will die in the last book because they have both have had verry important rolls in harry's life. herminine because she's a muggle and can understand what harry goes through in the muggle world he goes back to every summer. Then voldermorth to end the story.

I think it'll be an apocalyptic battle the likes of which the wizarding world has never known! Everyone will die in a horrible firey explosion!

No seriously, after the last book, and the last person who died...

If HE can die, everyone is fair game.
