why did he kill himself?

The version I recall is that he swallowed poison and/or then he doused himself with gasolineand burned himself. It would have been considered a matter of "honour" to not be taken by the hands of the enemy. However, I do not think that the history books are going to tell you everything people could and should know about Hitler, the Nazis or the Holocaust.
I am not a Holocaust denier. When millions of people were said to have been killed, it is impossible to deny it. However, I think a lot more remains to be said e.g. about the possibility of Hitler having been framed.
I was going to pose a question about the Holocaust and the Nazis myself, but have not yet got around to it.

Everything I have heard in documentaries & read say that Hitler did not want to fall into Stalin's hands as a prisoner. I imagine being Stalin's prisoner would not have been all that great for the average person, so imagine if you were a high profile jerk like Hitler. So that is why Hilter chose to commit suicide. And he wanted to make sure he died! Not only did he shoot himself, but Hitler also took a cyanide pill, as well.

He killed himself by gunshot and then was thrown into a small pit and burned with gasoline...all this within an hour or so of the arrival of the Russian army.

A cowardly suicide. The Russians burned what was left and threw the ashes in the Elbe River.

he killed himself before the gov killed him. theres a movie on his last days in the bunker. if i remember what is called ill come back.

I heard 2 theories. the Russians killed him when they entered Berlin at the end of the war. Or he committed suicide with his misttress Eva Braun when the allies defeated Germany
