do i use scart to scart or what my tv has hdmi but not on my hdd dvd

Since your HDD/DVD appears to have no HD or upscaling, you need only use a SCART lead, set output and input to RGB if possible for the best quality.

the best connection is the hdmi, as your hdd doesn't have this then the second best is component ( gree / blue / red ) this is picture only and therefore phono leads are required ( red / white ) for sound.

I would be very supprised if your hdd didn't have this connection. but if not then s-video and phono is the third best connection, then scart.
