I noticed on lyric sites where they list songs for an artist, that sometimes it says "b-side." How do I listen to them?

While some CDs are double-sided and can be flipped over, with older songs "B-Side" could also be a reference to the format in which it was originally published, the vinyl record. All vinyl records had "A" and "B" sides. When most albums were converted to CD, however, usually both the "A" and "B" sides could easily be recorded onto a single-sided CD, so in CD format the songs are usually all on one side with no reference to the "A" and "B" sides of the original albums. Answering this question makes me feel really old!

UPDATE: As for the "B-Sides" of the specific album you're referring to, I believe those songs appeared exclusively on the "B" side of the "CD-Single" releases of several of the album tracks. Apparently the songs can only be found on the B-Side of the singles, not on the original album.

just flip it over. If the cd looks the same on both sides it's an A & B cd.

The words "B-side" are a holdover from the days of vinyl records. The single was on one side (the A Side) and the bonus cut was on the other (B side). The extra songs on a CD single other than the single that you bought it for would be the B-Side cuts. It's just an expression at this point.

A B side is just the other side of the CD,so turn it over and give it a quick clean, and put it in. :)

considering that my radio is often on a Christian station, I hear to the radio. i like to hearken to the sermons. My daughters, on the different hand, will positioned a CD in each time. undesirable area is, they choose to hearken to a similar one many times.
