My dad has always been one of my best friends...we even have our own handshake. I have always felt that I could talk to him and be honest with him. His words can inspire me the most. My dad has this amazing positive energy. He is a musical soul and ever since I was little I have loved the sound of him coming home from work because he is usually singing. He is funny, humble, and cares more about others than himself. Some of my favorite childhood memories are simple but perfect because they are with him. For example, he used to comb my hair after I got out of my bath, and when he combed my bangs he would hold my face in his hand, and when he was finished he would kiss me and tell me he loved me. We also used to watch Laker games on the couch together all of the time, he would rub my forehead as I layed in his lap. To this day the sound of sneakers on a basketball court is one of my favorite sounds because it remends me of him. I'm 19 now and growing up, but my dad will forever be my hero.

My Dad and I never got alone when I was younger. We were always fighting. When my husband(fiancee at the time) moved out together I was 18. After 6 years of not living together, we have come very close. We realized that we do love each other dearly just can't live together. I now love my Dad with all my heart. He is a great Dad. My hubby and I go to my parents house every weekend and spend time together. It is so much fun being able to sit at the table and laugh with my Dad. Sunday we are going over there and having a big Dad's day bbq. Gonna cook his fave foods. I love celebrating my Dad!!! He's a great guy. It will be a very sad day when he passes. Until then we will spend a lot of time together.

My dad is a really cool guy, about one of the most easy-going people you'll ever meet. He's 54 now, works about 60 hours/week and enjoys a cold one every now and then. He's a guy that basically goes with the flow.

And he's not only an awesome guy, he's a cool grandfather to my daughter, Rhiannon.

My dad is pretty cool I guess. He's a very complicated person. He's an alcoholic and has a bad temper. But he's got a good side too. He's not nearly as ornery as he used to be and these days as I see him getting older I don't have to heart to hate him for who he used to be. He's a big kid and is always getting into something, and it's hilarious and very endearing, like last year he bought my mom 2 piglets for her birthday and she fell in love with them. When I see him outside playing with my young siblings I know that he's trying to be the best dad he can be. He's far from perfect but I know he loves us very much.

I have the coolest dad ever. He once went to the principals office because I got into trouble at school, again and told the principal that I had his permission not to go to school (I got caught playing truant). I did not have his permission, but he refused to let me get into trouble. I was never punished for anything that I did wrong. My dad and I can spend a whole afternoon together and still be happy when I leave. We often spend hours talking about nothing of importance. He has not been well recently, he is a cancer survivor, but having difficulty at the moment. To this day, he will not discuss his illness with me, he will talk to my mom about it, or even my sister, but not with me. I once asked him why he doesn't talk to me about it, he just said because in our world that doesn't exist. Writing that makes me cry... He turns 74 in November.

I miss my "cool" dad almost everyday. He was a tremendous force and always captivated me. He tought me everything I know about life, love and change. I hope that someday I can guide my child as he did me. I will never forget his kind words or the wonderful love he felt for the environment and the creatures of this earth. I miss him right now. He too was known as "Billy Bob"....

We work for the same company, we have lunch together almost every day, we like the same food, movies, music, wine. We are both complete smartasses and have a very dry sense of humor. We get eachother more than anyone else gets us!
