Blade Runner (1982) This is a sci-fi movie with Harrison Ford as a detective hunting down some very life like robots. The robots have an expiration date ( they will die) and they know it. They are hunting down their creator to find out why and they want to live forever. It mirrors the question all humans have of their creator, why do we have to die. Harrison falls in love with a woman and toward the end finds out that she is also a robot. His love for her though does not change. The movie is very deep about our relationships with our creator, each other, and what love really means. Very worth seeing.

Apocalypse Now - Explores the insanity of war. All of the actors play their roles exceptionally well. (directed by Francis Ford Coppola)

The Godfather - A story about a mafia family. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola who in my mind is a genius. Great story, great script and great acting.

The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy - All are near perfect.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly - No other western is like this. It has a style all its own. The chemistry between Eli Wallach and Clint Eastwood is incredible. Lee Van Cleef of course is always cool. Wallach should be known as scene stealer of the century in this movie.

Blazing Saddles - The funniest movie ever made. Deals with racism in a way that nowadays is considered 'politically incorrect'.

THX-1138 - A great futuristic sci-fi movie from George Lucas. Sex has been outlawed and the sex urge is controlled with drugs. THX-1138 stops taking his drugs and begins to have feelings for his roomate, LUH 3417 . She gets pregnant and both end up in deep trouble. A very disturbing look at the future.

The Hunt for Red October! It has a great storyline, great characters and 6, count 'em, 6 of my all-time favorite actors,
Sean Connery, Alec Baldwin, Scott Glen, James Earl Jones, Fred Thompson and Sam Neill! What a line up of hunks! All that plus action, suspense and a great ending! It was one book by Tom Clancy that they didn't mess up by making a movie!

Amelie because of it's optimistic foreign film story. It's such a feel happy movie that with a dark sense of humor at times and even light sense of humor. Audrey Tutor is amazing in it.

Love Me If You Dare is a dark comedy romantic movie. I love the plot. So different from what I've seen and the ending will surprise you. Another French foreign film ^.^

American History X as well cause Edward Norton is hot and it's just an interesting movie of one boy who deals with hatred and just has to write a report on it. Violent but wonderful. Ending shocked me

Boondock Saints.

I love it because the characters go out and do what most of us secretly wish we had the guts to attempt.

I hear it's also very popular among police and military personnel.

The Five Heartbeats and the Color Purple

The five heartbeats is an excellent movie, it was done in the early 90's... written by Robert Townsend and Keenan Ivory Wayans, (its not a parody)and its almost like a male version of Dreamgirls...

My favorite is " the Lake House". It is a story about true love,
with years that separate the two from being together for a while. Check it out.

I love Where the Heart Is with Natalie Portman. I just love to watch it.

For Sherry who answered The American President....It wasnt Anne Heche that was in it, it was Annette Benning.
