For them, yes it is. And the unfortunate result is that people get married before they should.
The desire for sex is profound and extremely influential after puberty. To demonize it the way these establishments do is just begging for poor decisions.
When people feel like they're in love... even for the very first time as teenagers, they want to share themselves with the other person. They want that sexual closeness. Religion only stamps the OK on it if they go through the ceremony and promise themselves to each other forever and ever. They're too young to know any better, so they jump in and relieve their tension to satisfy the normal biological drives.
However, sex is too important to force people to blindly gamble the rest of their sexual intimacy forever on one person. You can say all you want about love being true and if it's the right person, the sex will be perfect. That's an illusion.
From my perspective, the rule of premarital celibacy is the church's greatest sin against humanity.

Yes, sex before marriage is considered a sin in the Catholic Church. Sex is viewed as the renewal of the marriage covenant and as such should be open to the creation of life. (A married couple may abstain from sexual relations during the woman's fertile time if there is a responsible reason for delaying pro-creation, not just selfish ones.) To have sex before marriage is to dismiss the sacrament of marriage.
I seriously doubt that anyone who believes the Church's teaching on this is going to just rush into marriage in order to have sex. For one thing, anyone who is even marginally faithful to the Catholic Church would have a Catholic wedding, and the Church requires an engagement period between six-months and three years, depending on the diocese. During that time, you also have to go through marriage preparation courses.
Teachings against sex before marriage were designed to protect women and children. Women bare the majority of physical, emotional, and financial risks from having pre-marital sex.
And I don't deny that teenagers can feel strong emotions for each other, but it is not just a cliche to say that they can be overcome by their hormones. Teenagers are more likely to listen to their bodies rather than logic or reason and take unhealthy risks.

Yes.
Judeo-Christian tradition has taught for thousands of years that it is God's will that:
+ Single people should be celibate.
+ Married people should be faithful to each other (adultery is wrong).
+ Married couples should welcome God's gift of children and, therefore, artificial birth control is against the will of God.
The Catholic Church recognizes the power of sex when it teaches, "Sexuality affects all aspects of the human person in the unity of his body and soul."
Chastity means the successful integration of sexuality within the person. A chaste person's body and spirit lives in unity and opposes any behavior that would impair that unity.
The purpose of sex is to bring a husband and wife closer and to create human life.
Fornication, sex between an unmarried man and an unmarried woman, is contrary to their human dignity and the dignity of human sexuality.
With love in Christ.

Yes, it is being taught in the church that it's a sin to do it outside marriage. That's what I used to hear whenever I go to church when I was young. These days, I dunno what the priests are saying about it, I think they are more concerned about birth control. Well, these days people don't care anymore, even though they are catholic they still do whatever they like.

According to the Laws of the Catholic Church it is.
However, Lola is incorrect...the sign of purity is not the white dress but the veil.

Yes The teaching is to preserve yourself for your future spouse. That's why the bride wears a white bridal gown which symbolizes the woman's purity or innocence.

Absolutely.
The sexual act is how a married couple renews their marriage vows to each other.
Sex is reserved for a man and a woman who are married to each other...and for AFTER the vows.
Anything else is two people lying to each other with their bodies- and that is definitely NOT love, is it?
