Judge Dredd had a Grey Costume with ugly Green gloves& boots, but Hollywood feels like they have the RIGHT to just give him an
'All-Black 1-piece suit'!!!! (i think it's Laziness!)

(In the comics, Superman has semi-recently had costume color changes accompanying his *powers* changes, but these were reversed after the storyline ran it's course. The Red, Blue & Yellow costume is MUCH too iconic to change permanently; perhaps for the course of a film.)

1) They wouldn't do that to Superman (With 1 exception, see 2) because he's too iconic. Judge Dredd was a cult favorite meaning not everyone knew who he was in comics, but he had his devoted group of fans. X-Men had various costumes over the years and Bryan Singer was aiming for a more realistic look. But Superman is only known in his Blue and Red underoo costume. He's a light character who requires a colorful costume to inspire hope, rather than Batman or Judge Dredd who wear dark colors to inspire fear.

2) In comics, Superman has worn a black costume following his death and resurrection (he also sported a mullet for a bit). If done properly and not just as a "cuz we wanted to", a black costume would be possible but it would have to revert back to the Blue and Red by the end of the film.

ok so what makes you think they will do that?

because of spiderman? it was an original story board for the comic.
look how they changed the hulk, in the original hulk he wasnt even green when the comic first started. and how is it the ripped up pants always turn to purple?

I dont see them going in this direction with the man of steel... but hollywood has screwed up worse than that before.

hi,
if it is going to happen as you say then people will go mad,
see but hteir madness will be in twoo side possitive or negative.
the question is not for negative or pssitive it is just to ask about madness and the answer is yes definitely,
moreover if people wil be cool then people will see supr-man as seriously as the saw spiderman when he was painted black so I think that ble and red will soon be black and bat-man will be coloured. I hope bats are asllep.

I doubt it. When we were kids we liked loud colors and didn't know why. We were kids. LOUD!

No one was affected by the revamping of Batman and Robin along similar lines.
