Me, no-one dictates to me what I can and can't do. I have always been respectful of not smoking in other people's houses, work, restaurants etc from now on anyone coming into my home will have to light up and if anyone even thinks about having a go at me about it they had better be extremely careful!
I do not interfere with whatever other people do or don't do, I will not tolerate anyone interfering in my private life.

I read so many bad things about the affects of smoking that I stopped reading!!!! No really, I quit 8 mths ago. As a smoker I already felt like a leper and with the new ban, I didn't want to be forced under-ground. I have no regrets and actually feel less stressed and more care-free than when I was a smoker and under the illusion that I Needed a *** (ciggie) ! I feel sorry for those still smoking.

I gave up smoking a 18 months ago but i think there should be one room in each building for people to go to smoke. They are being treated like leper`s
Here in Wales the ban started a while ago and everywhere you go you see crowds of people outside pubs and cafe`s etc smoking, its ok now now because its summer but i think in the winter it will be a different story. I think then the pubs will suffer because it will be to cold and wet to smoke outside

i am a smoker...who loves smoking. i work in a smoking enviroment...and sometimes - i find the atmosphere i am in...a bit nasty.
i wont pack up at the moment, as i love my ciggies...but this ban will cut me down - i have no option...so that is a good start.
i dont like taking orders..but i think this ban is a good thing. if i was a non smoker...i would be really happy about it. in time, i think this will be a good thing...for smokers & non smokers...time will tell.!!

I haven't decided to quit, as I don't smoke, but I think that it's fantastic! I can now go out, and not come back smelling like an ashtray! YAY!!!

I gave up quite a while ago but why shouldn't people that smoke be allowed to indulge somewhere . They are being treat like leppers and I feel really sorry for them.
