Stilton is the cheese and the Scottish town is Fort William. That doesnt help with your other word though. If it's c?ot?reat then there's no word that fulfils that clue. Only 'i', 'l' or 'o' can go in the first space giving

Using the letters in fort you could have
ciotfreat - ciotoreat - ciotrreat or ciottreat
clotfreat - clotoreat - clotrreat or clottreat
cootfreat - cootoreat - cootrreat or coottreat
The only one I can see is clttreat or clot treat if it were two words to describe something good given to an idiot, ie a 'clot treat'.
