Roslyn is nearby and it is pretty neat, they filmed northern exposure there. And they have a really old cool graveyard.

Elk Heights is good if you are interested in nature.

there is the chimpsium at CWU in ellensburg, where you can looka tchimps that sign.

The gorge is nearby and the Columbia river is pretty.

Really I have lived right by there my whole life and there isn't much. It is a pretty place for looking at nature and stuff like that, but other than that there are a few bars and not much else. The starlight is good for martinis, and the Tav is good for burgers.

They also have a neat old downtown. THere is a pawnshop there with about 30 ukeleles of all shapes, colors, and motifs- that's pretty neat. And the Ellensburg Cafe is a great place to eat.

Dude I stayed at the Ellensburg Super 8 too...

Well, I think they're kind of close - the Fingers? They're these huge basalt formations coming out of nowhere - they're great if you're into climbing, or you can just walk up the back of them and then please don't get too close to the edge. Pretty awesome geology.

Good luck!
