My understanding is that just about any oil can be turned into fuel.

It is being done and the marginal land where the palm trees are being grown. the land now can not be used by the people living there to produce food so they are starving and waiting on aid from other countries It is a shame that we are taking away the livelyhood of people to get diesel fuel

Yes. George Bush does. He uses his palm every morning before getting out of bed. He then takes a shower and someone feeds him. He watches the cartoon network to keep up with the current news and then takes a nap The oil from his palm is being saved for his pending energy conservation plan being submitted to congress.
