No, we're not.

I enjoy hair, make-up and fashion, when it's appropriate; it's fun sometimes....I also enjoy programming computers, fixing motorbikes, riding motorbikes, 10th century combat re-enactment....you get the idea?

The permanent body hair removal that transwomen get is very painful and costs thousands of dollars. It's available to anyone that wants it. Also, because of the cost, time, and pain many don't get that much done. Usually just the beard is removed. That's still about $1000+ to get done and takes months and hurts a lot! The hormones just take it down to, or at least most of the time, closer to what other women naturally have. There isn't some easy, cheap, magic pill in a bottle we take and it makes all of the body hair disappear.

No way. Some are, but I'm certainly not one of them. I do get all done up for special occassions but for the most part I'm in jeans with minimal makeup if any or out on the bball courts or softball field or whatever. It's a nice option to have when the opportunity to do so calls for it or I just want to for some reason, but comfort rules out in my lifestyle. I hate being sterotypical or "Un- P.C." but sometimes I tend to think that some of the girls that feel the need to always be dressed and perfectly in place with hair, nails etc...might be transvestites that went a step too far. I could be really wrong in saying that but it's just an impression. I went through all I did so that I could be me and comfortable with myself, not so I could play dress up everyday. Not that those who choose to do it are wrong by any measure, I just think it's a minority.

No, we're not. I am a warehouse supervisor, and hardly ever wear a skirt, let alone make-up. Those who are into just being girly may not actually be transexuals, but could just be confuesed transvestites who have taken their fetish too far.

NOPE! I'm a transwoman and a butch lesbian. I get buzz cuts. I wear men's cargo shorts. I often don't bother shaving. The only make up I wear is concealer to help cover up what facial hair I have yet to get rid of. I am a very masculine person, but I still identify as female.

Nope. I keep my hair in check with my GHDs, sure i want my hair in perfect condition, but i dont obsess about it. I wear makeup, but i keep it plain and simple, too much and it just looks stupid. Can anyone keep up with fashion? I live in jeans and t-shirts, and dont have much money for more due to saving for SRS.

Anyway, i would like to drag your attention to this. A classic song remix with a cool video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTJZP7ICupQ&mode=related&search=

Enjoy.

No. Of course I want to look my best when I go out but far from being obsessed. I like jeans, tee's, shorts, sandals, etc.

They try and look girly and even think girly . A few have been influenced by the punk rock thing , and are slightly more ironic in their pose .
