On a preveious question of mine, I couldnt believe the hate and disdain towards other societies around the world by americans. Maybe our increasing conglomeration of past heritages are making us very jealous of other pure religions or cultures to the point of us wanting to make everyone like us or they will die.

I think the reason for that is because most Americans are misinformed. They speak of fears and not facts. They speak just to speak. People fallow because they are led to believe it is for the protection of this country. To summarize, it's all ignorance.
There was only one person who made what they are doing very popular. Hitler. He knew the problems of the people and said it was all because of the Jews. And people were so lost. That they actually believe all the crap he actually said.
Just like the people that call these poor immigrants terrorist.
They are programmed to hate. But not to think

There's no such thing as a pure culture because the whole world is made up of peoples who have emigrated from other parts. Britain is full of the descendants of Vikings, Normans, Romans, besides the more recent additions, and they were some of the settlers that you got. The North American Indians are believed to have Asian roots. The Greeks colonized everywhere including Italy, - because of war, poverty, famine, whatever. I don't think there's a drive to make everyone like a particular nation, - anyway, that would be impossible.

If you really want to go back into history, the human race most likely immigrated from a central area to the rest of the world. Why else would we be the same species? Stronger groups have also constantly conquered, annexed, exploited, made protectorates of, and otherwise taken over groups that were weaker and moved in on their land. It's an old story.
In the here and now the US has its people who were born on US soil and in American culture. For now, it's our land and like, everybody else, we think we're all that and two bags of chips. Are we? No. Is it how it is? Yes.
When the next world power comes up (probably China) they'll be the haughty imperialists and we'll all be hating them.
It's not about jealousy on our part- it's about civis Romana sum. We're on top and we don't want anybody else moving in on our good thing.

The only true American is the Native American. We are all immigrants and it would serve us well to remember that. I don't have a problem with immigrants, but I do believe that they should come over legally and they should learn our language. If I moved to a foreign country then I would make it a priority to learn that language. Anyhow, I don't even really have a problem with illegal immigrants. Without the illegal immigrants we would be in a world of hurt since they are the ones who are willing to work jobs that no one else wants.

It should be "legal" immigrants....and only the ones who want to assimilate into our society, not turn it into their backward place of origin.

in my opinion i just want them to adapt to our culture first by learning english.Also by entering legally ,so no i dont hate them or anyone.My grandparents came legally from russia to the united states and learned english and the culture and adapted!
