I have till next thursday to put together/buy a decent women's sci fi costume. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

You could be Samantha Carter from Stargate if you want a really easy to create costume. Or find green (or was it blue?) body paint and go as one of the women Captain Kirk always seemed to run into.

There are lots of Princess Leah wigs with the side buns on Ebay for 7.99...

Then u just need the white gown/dress

I would chose something that wouldn't distract the audience too much otherwise they will be concentrating too much on you rather than what you are saying (you might like it that way though! :) I would suggest a simple costume like that of Doctor Who and his pinstriped suit trainers and overcoat. It is simple but instantly recognisable.

The easiest one would be to dress up like a character from The Matrix; they used a lot of black patent leather and vinyl, long trench coats, etc....

If you have a good figure, be a Borg. They are rather sexy. Then you can go up to someone you fancy and tell them that resistance is futile ;-).
