I'll be going up to Detroit, Michigan on July 6th. Can anyone tell what kind of weather to expect? I want to know what I should take along to wear to a wedding. Thanks!!!

Oh, I grew up in Detroit...

I'm sorry - getting a little caught up in the past...

Anyhow, it should be hot. (80ish-90ish) However, Michigan has this famous way of not conforming to the norm (particuarly when it come to weather).

I would plan on wearing a sun dress, but I would also take a light sweater/jacket just is case. Watch the weather a few days before you go and you'll get an overall idea of where it's going to be.

Oh, and have fun in Michigan. While you are there, think to yourself, there's this girl on yahoo answers that would nearly give a limb to be in this place right now.

I live within 20 miles of Detroit, normally around the 4th of July it is in the 80's or low 90's and muggy. May have a chance of storms but not snow.
Michigan is the state that can have all 4 seasons in one week :)

at this time of year it can be pretty warm. I am guessing anywhere from 80-90 degrees. Have fun up in Michigan. I used to live there and i am kind of missing it

check weather.yahoo.com a few days before you leave, and get the long-range forecast. It'll probably be warm and muggy.
