in what order will the points D,F and X lie on side BC?

thanx frds for telling me the order of points D,F and X on side BC.....help me a bit more...how do i prove this order mathematically?

sometimes it helps to go to extremes, so draw a triangle, but make AC REALLY long, and AB really short (OK, BC will be long too, but it doesn't matter...

Now the foot of the altitude may not even be on the segment BC, if angle A is obtuse then it would fall on the side of CB extended away from C.. so it has to come first ,

Now the median will be half way down, and if you look at the angles you can SEE that DAC is WAY smaller than DAB, so this has to be last in the list, and the angle bisector goes in the middle... (make sense???)

D,F, X. The angle bisector will lie between the altitude and the median.
