Infinity is a purely abstract concept. It can't exist in the physical world. When one deals with something that accelerates mathematically, one can calculate its rate of acceleration and diagram it ideally as "approaching" infinity, but in the real world, something always happens, a resource or an energy requirement is exhausted or the speed of light prevents it and the "infinity" doesn't happen. No real triangle can have two 90 degree angles. A calculator cannot divide by zero. Rather than "infinity", scientists call the result "undefined" because it doesn't really make sense at that point. But everything short of the point does make sense, no matter how large or small the ratio, so mathematicians can speak of "approaching infinity" without including infinity itself.
The number pi, the ratio of a circle's diameter to its circumference has a bit of infinity to it because it resolves to 3.1415926... and an apparently "infinite" trail of digits which simply represent greater and greater degrees of precision. It can't be perfectly defined but every additional decimal place resolved represents a more precise definition of the number. Millions of decimal places later, we're still not done defining it, but it's certainly close enough for practical applications.

Do we know where the Universe stops? Until we do, I would suggest infinity exist.What is the highest number in the known universe add 1 until we can't add another 1 I would suggest that infinity exist.

Mother nature may of given us a better dimension of infinity. When a sun starts collapsing to form a black hole. The material starts accelerating by gravity and as more material collapses the gravity will increase and when the acceleration reaches the speed of light the mass is equal to infinity and starts the black hole. This may create a gravity well that could be 100 light years across.

Infinity not only exists, it comes in different sizes!
Common sense tells you there must be an infinite number of whole numbers (1, 2, 3, 4....) because you can always take any whole number, however large, and add "1" to it to get a bigger number, right?
Now consider the series of odd numbers (1,3,5,7...), it must also be infinite, because however big an odd number you are at, you can always add "2" to get a bigger odd number.
If you add "1" to any odd number, you get the even number next to it in the series of whole numbers...
So the set of all even numbers is infinite, and the same size as the set of all odd numbers.
The set of all whole numbers (1,2,3,4....) is the sum of these two infinite sets, so it must be twice as big!
Freaky, huh?
