I go every year in November since I was 13 for a 7 day cruise. First with my parents, then later with my husband when I married.
Always had fun at the ports. We take a lot of shore excursions. Swimming with the sting rays and dolphins, horseback riding on the beaches, party boats that get you drunk before your dropped off on a island to party for 8 hours, deep sea fishing, etc.....
Always more to do on the ship itself. Comedy shows, mini braodway shows, small casinos, dozens of different types of bars, spas and salons, massages, etc...
Been to Jamaica, Grand Caymen islands, Cozumel, Nassau, Cancun Mexico, Hawaii, Bermuda, Bahamas,

No. I don't think I'd ever like being on a huge cruise ship because of all the recycled air in the cabins. People still get very sick because of the air on these gigantic ships, you just don't hear about it very much anymore because it's so common. Kind of like school shootings in Detroit, too common place to be news. Also, those big cruise ships are like being jailed in a resort. If I wanted to sit by a pool or see a fantasic show, I'd go to Vegas...cheaper!
I would however consider a Wind Jammer cruise, which is smaller, and definately an adventure of the sea, coupled with luxury and style. It's hellavah expensive though.

Christmas '73. 15 day cruise from Tangier, Morocco to Freetown, Siera Leone. Brilliant time and it was a school trip.

Went on a cruise for a week on the Mexican Riveria. I went with the hubby, in laws and my family. It would have been a great time if I hadn't forgot to pack my Paxil!

I've been on 2 with my family, we went to the Southern Caribbean for 8 days. I'm going on another later this year.

I have been trying to convince the wife for 10 years now to go on a criuse but something alwyas "comes up".
All my friends that have been on them say they are great to do.
So, why won't she do this?

yes two years ago with all the family on my dads side.we did it for a week and it was a blast!
