i am going to the as game on the fourth but what else is there to do around LA?

The beach is always fun on the 4rth .. there is ALOT of ppl there though, so if u are clusterphobic or shy about wearing a bathing suit dont even try lol.. i luv going 2 the beach on the fourth bc u can meet lots of ppl, join a beach volleyball game, tan haha. Try santa monica beach, malibu, huntington beach.
i would stay off big tourist spots like disneyland bc most likely it will b packed and u will b wasting your money bc u wont b able to ride any rides and u will b spend your day standing in looooooooong lines.
the OC fair is a good place to b on 4rth of july. food, rides, fireworks, shows, music, performances.. i like going 2 the oc fair... check ocfair.com for info about it.
Rosebowl 4rth of july celebration is really good too.. theres lots of food, and socializing.. they claim to have the biggest firework show in southern california, so if u r into fireworks this is perfect..

oh and try to mingle, dont look to touristy haha u'd have more fun that way =]

Go to Venice beach, near Santa Monica...you will love all the side shows on the boardwald and the shops and muscel beach wher all those gooons are pumping iron. And the shops there are great, dont forget the 3rd street promenade also

One of my few serious answers...I like to go fly at night on the 4th and take people up to watch the fireworks displays from the altitude that they burst at. It sounds dangerous, but it's quite safe and an unforgettable 4th for every passenger.

DEL MAR FAIR in San Diego. I believe that a number of artists are performing there (possibly Switchfoot).
