With Macs being able to Run Vista better then the PC's, why not go with a Mac. You get the best of all worlds.
The Macs are better for Graphic and Video applications, where the PC side gives to an abundance of software.
So my vote is for the new Macbooks. You get the best of both!

Macs are the best choice for the simple reason that even though Mac OS X is superior as an operating system, you can still run Windows XP or Vista natively. You'll never have to worry about missing out on anything with a Mac. What do these people know about using Macs, they've probably never touched one. Most of the arguments I hear against the Macintosh are nothing but the same regurgitated talking points I've been hearing for years upon years. None of it holds any truth anymore. Macs can do anything PCs can do and a whole lot more. They're worth every single penny. I absolutely love my MacBook Pro. I have the best operating system on the market, but I can also enjoy LAN gaming parties because I can still run Windows. Any PC software will run on an Intel Mac. Any. It's NO different from running Windows on a PC.
I could give you so many reasons why Macs are better for anyone. Try reading some of my previous answers on the subject. It's a lot of work to type these answers numerous times in one day. The proof is in the numbers. The Mac growth rate is five times that of the PC industry. I'm assuming you're a math whiz, think about that. Analysts predict that the Mac could hold fifty percent of the home market by 2014.

i've got been utilising Mac and laptop for years - i've got no longer had a Mac crash on me in 6 years (considering that shifting to OSX 10.2). i've got additionally in no way had an epidemic. you could now run domicile windows on a Mac (in case you have a replica of domicile windows), and amazingly, the quickest computer to run Vista is a MacBookPro (Yahoo seek it in case you do not have faith me). Get VMWare or Paralles and additionally you would be able to run OSX, XP, Vista or perhaps Limux all on the comparable time (nicely, i could in undemanding terms one 2 at a time, until you have assorted RAM). in my opinion I desire the Mac - the interface is a lot extra consumer friendly, the utility is fascinating and powerful, and that i can do something a pc consumer can do on it - look at my scrumptious for the final Mac utility scrumptious/nikachu/mac. appears like new Macs are popping out on the 14th October.

PC is your only option. Believe it or not business is driven by PC technology. Get to know it now. As a hiring manager I wouldn't consider someone without solid computer skills. Mac's aren't good for business because their expense and have issues operating on networks that aren't run by mac servers. Many programs I use daily aren't even available for mac.

See what your school recommends; some institutions have reasons for prefering one over the other because of their software applications.
Either will perform from a technical standpoint; it really depends on what your institution wants to do.
