sometimes the default password for the administrator account is blank [ie there is no password], have you tried you tried this yet?? fingers crossed you won't have to fiddle round with reformatting or resetting.

i'd also suggest make sure you use a completely different password to what you had before to ensure you sister can't make the same mistake.

finally i'm sure it goes without saying, but don't give her the new password either, if it turns out to be more a case of sisterly love/sabotage than a mistake......my money is on this option [nothing personal against your sister, but i have 4 of them and experience has taught me the end of the day she is still your sister!!!]

There is an administrator account. Did you change this? If you did not it still has the default password on it. Contact Dell.

If you changed the admin password and don't know it you may have to reformat the hard drive and all is lost.

When the computer is going to the login screen hold the shift key and then click your account, you should be able to bypass the password.

You can try Cont + Alt + Del and try to use the Admin password, but if that was changed you just might have to do a fresh install.....
