Is the message about hard drive space? If it is, you need to delete some big files and empty the trash. Remember, the trash is just a special folder and anything in the trash is taking up space on the hard drive.

If you can't find some big files that you don't need, you need to copy some precious files to an external drive and then delete the same files from your hard drive and empty the trash. It's not how many files you delete that changes the space. It's the size of the files so go for the big ones. Examples of big files are movies, photos and songs. But don't delete anything you didn't add to the drive yourself.
