Technically a DVD will keep the most pictures. Since a CD only holds 800 meg and a DVD holds 4.7 gig. or more depending on teh DVD.
Best thing to do is use CD burning software like Roxio or Nero (( Your preference )) And go from there.
Note.. In order to get the most out of the CD/DVD. You must burn in Data format. Burning in any other way wont harm the CD/DVD.. But, you wont be able to get quite as many on.

DVD because the space on a regular dvd is about 4-5 GB while on a normal CD you have about 700 to 800 MB to burn on it.

a CD holds 700 MB, and a DVD holds 4.7 GB. so, a DVD holds much more than a CD ever would. to get pictures and other files onto a disk, you need a DVD burner, or a CD burner, whichever you choose to use. put the disk in the drive, and drag all your pictures to it. then you'll have to right click on the drive and click on "write files to disk".

A dvd will hold the most pictures as you would have 4.7 gb of space as compared to just 700mb. To transfer them to a dvd, you would need a dvd writer drive.

DVD will hold more, and you have to have a DVD burner and a burner program to burn from PC to DVD.
