I know exactly how you feel as at times I feel as if I am dealing with a bunch of ingrates. But in reality my efforts are being noticed but not always by the people that I want to notice them. It's like love. Sometimes you feel as if you are wasting it on ingrates but love just like my efforts or your efforts and love aren't really wasted as it always comes back but not as we expect it to comeback and not always by who we expect the appreciation and love from.

More than sometimes. It used to bother me a lot and was the reason for some fights between relatives and I. Since I decided to not care about being appreciated but to do what I felt I was supposed to do, my efforts are still unappreciated but at least my life is more peaceful and my feelings no longer hurt. I simply stopped expecting from people.

I know they do...but that's ok.

I actually like to do things behind the scenes. I live for doing things for people unnoticed.

For example, the biggest joy I get is going to a restaurant and paying for someone's bill and not telling them.

I'm also working at a 4H camp this summer...in order for things to run smoothly I'm going to have to do a lot of things in the backround and not get credit for them...but that's what it's all about. Making the kids experience as memorable as possible.

I never used to think this way, but a couple of years ago i was awakened to this thinking and since then i have found a lot more happiness in going unnoticed...

I believe that almost everyone here could say YES. Everyone gives some kind of effort, and no one notices, because they're focused on their own efforts. It's just my personal opinion.

Yes :( I always try to put others ahead of me & sometimes it does feel like it's going unnoticed, but it's still worth it if it helps someone out
