First put a grocery bag over each hand, then cut a couple of paper plates in half, taking two halfs scoop up and roll into the bag on one of your hands. This makes the job way less disgusting! Then after all removable parts are up, use a good carpet cleaner like, "Resolve", or " "Spot Shot" and use according to directions. Then last thing-go to your local pet store and get "Nature's Miracle" It will permanently take the odor out of anything!!! without staining or lightening the fabric. It's a completely safe enzyme that really, really, works. You will not have one mark left after you finish! Just nice smelling, fresh, clean, carpet!

Naturally cleaning the puke off will leave a stain on your carpet. Vinegar helps...

Rub light carpet stains with a mixture of 2 tablespoons salt dissolved in 1/2 cup white vinegar, let the solution dry and vacuum.

For larger or darker stains, add 2 tablespoons borax to the mixture and use in the same way.

Also:

Lift out stains from carpeting and upholstery by sponging them with 1 cup clear ammonia in 1/2 gallon (2 liters) warm water. Let dry throughly, and repeat if needed...

For the smell apply a baking soda to it...

I hope that helps...

warm water and white rags so the stomach acid doesn't pull color from a non white rag and put it into your carpet. keep cleaning it until it doesn't smell anymore.
