i am planning to lower my 01 maxima on tein s tec with KYB gr2. the drop is 2"front and 1.6'rear. is there something that i should be aware of when the car is lowered? i mean are there any cons i heard that any lowering springs can blow the struts/shocks sooner than regular springs is this true? thanks.

you need to get shorter shocks and struts because the stock ones will blow very soon after the drop then it will ride like ****

Of course you are also going to a set of 19" wheels too? That will just make the maxima look good enought you will want even lower. There should not be any problem with lowering it only 2 inches struts will be fine

Most of the time, tires wear unevenly and there are sometimes alignment problems. You may wan to take it to a good alignment shop and have it aligned after you drop it. Also expect to buy camber kits. if they can't get it lined up with the stock parts, they will have to use the camber kits to get the wheels right. (All four of them)

the entire geometry changes when u lower a car. that and tire clearance are ur biggest issues. go to a shop that knows how to lower ur type of car.be prepared to spend alot of money. it has to be done right or u will seriously regret it.
