I wouldn't recommend a Chinese Alagae. I had one in my 29 gal and it ate all of my neons! :( They grow to be about 6" long, an inch wide and become pretty aggressive as they age. I would recommend a small group of otocinclus. depending on how many fish you have and your filtration, I would say get between 3-8 otocinlus. They eat both green and brown alagae, but must be in a stable tank with good water condition, at least running for 6 months. They grow to be about 1.5inches long. Also, to help with alagea problems, get some live plants.
Hope This Helps!!!

I'd get a Chinese Algae Eater.
Mine is in with my smaller fish and it never bothers them at all. He also keeps the tank very clean..
Good Luck!

Chinese Algae Eaters, I think they're called. But they get aggressive in adulthood.
