Yes, they can be very hurtful, they can stay with you for years, and do irreparable damage.

I think a lot of the time words are the worst weapons. People can be so verbally cruel to one another. I don't know why people don't use the energy they use to bring someone down to bring a smile to someones face instead.

Sometimes words can cause the worst kind of irreversible damage, that's for sure. It's funny how something negative that someone says about you can stick with you for so long...I still remember hurtful things from many years ago.

Yes... words are great for motivation or discouragement - it hits us mentally/emotionally and definitely could be one's worst weapon towards another. We get reported all day long in here - to state the obvious...
