I am Italian myself, and honestly, I can't stand any pizzerias here in America. Everything just tastes disgusting to me. All so greasy, over sauced, peperoni-ed, cheesed... yuck! In fact, there is no such thing as 'peperoni' in Italy. So, in my personal opinion, there is nothing Italian about Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, etc.

If a friend and I were hanging out trying to decide what eat, if one of us said italian, I would say yes, Pizza Hut would fall under that category.
But if I wanted a traditional or an authentic Italian meal or pizza, I would scoff at Pizza Hut, Dominos and 99% of the other places claiming to serve Italian food.

The italian places here are a far cry from real italian food. No pizza hut is far from Italian and is gross to top it off. Papa Johns is even worse.

Most pizza huts are remodeling and becoming "Pizza Hut - Italian Bistro"s. Some of the food they are now serving are considered Italian food.. but as far as their pizza, no.

I don't think so, it depends what in it and how it's made. Any food could be considered as junk food if it has too much unhealthy things or just made badly in a bad condition. I consider that there is no such thing as junk food. Like even burger, if it's prepared in a good condition with good stuff, it would be ok, but it was made in Mcdonalds, i don't think so. So yeah, there is not junk food, only junk cooks & junk ways to make food

to give you an idea, "pizza hut" does not exist here in italy.
maybe because it would not have any kind of possibility of success for italians that eat pizza frequently.
so, pizza hut is not italian pizza!!!
quite good maybe, but totally different.

I consider it garbage and a cheap way for people to eat wantabe pizza. Its the worse thing out there and I love Pizza and will never order it or even eat it if its around. The only real good take out pizza chain in my opinon is RoundTable Pizza.

Yeah, not really Italian. Based on concepts as has been previously said, but not authentic. Kind of like Taco Bell ain't Mexican Food.
