Depends on where you are from. If you are from England or Europe, then I would choose NYC. However if you are an American, then I would pick London.
You want to take this opportunity to live in another country and get paid for it. You will have more fun and grown as a person further from home. Look at this as an adventure, a chance to experience the world.

If you have lived in Europe, Wow, look at what a new experience it would be for you.
If being on your own is not your thing, if you need family and friends all around you, most of the time, may be that would not work for you.
If you go the biggest fun of them of all is that you are within a couple of hours from several totally different cultures, life styles, etc. France, Germany, Italy....

London (pronounced /ËlÊndÉn/) is the capital city of England and the United Kingdom.
An important settlement for around two millennia, London is today one of the world's leading business, financial and cultural centres, and its influence in politics, education, entertainment, media, fashion and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the major global cities.
London is the most populous city within city limits in the European Union[6] with an official population of 7.5 million. It has a metropolitan area population of between 12 and 14 million people. Its population is very cosmopolitan, drawing from a wide range of peoples, cultures and religions, speaking over 300 different languages. London is an international transport hub, with five international airports and a large port. It serves as the largest aviation hub in the world, and its main airport, the multi terminal Heathrow, carries more international passengers than any other airport in the world.
London is a major tourist destination, with iconic landmarks including the Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and the London Eye amongst its many attractions, along with famous institutions such as the British Museum and the National Gallery.
new york:
New York (IPA: /nuË joÊɹk/) is a state in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions of the United States of America. With 62 counties, it is the country's third most populous state. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Pennsylvania, and shares an international border with the Canadian provinces of Quebec and Ontario. Its five largest cities are New York City (also the largest city in the United States), Buffalo, Rochester, Yonkers, and Syracuse.
New York City is known for its history as a gateway for immigration to the United States and its status as a transportation and manufacturing center.
New York was inhabited by Lenape, Algonquian and Iroquois indigenous people at the time Dutch and French settlers arrived in the 16th century. It was forted by the Dutch at Albany in 1614 and colonized in 1624, at both Albany and Manhattan, before falling under English rule in 1664. About one third of all the military engagements of the American Revolutionary War took place in New York, after which it became the 11th state to ratify the United States Constitution in 1788.

Both cities have much to offer. I worked near NYC and I would gladly work near London.
They are also large and expensive cities, with 'big' city problems. I think you would do well to talk to local people (perhaps where you will be working) before moving to discuss options re accommodation, etc.
