Robin Hood terrorised and stole from (rich) townspeople. This is the same as Al-Qaeda stealing from Halliburton. Does this not make him a terrorist?

whether he grew to become right into a terrorist or no longer might certainly count on your attitude. once you're between the prosperous human beings he steals from, you should certainly make the case for it. He is going around, looking merely like every person else, and then suddenly, issues are lacking and you're being threatened with obtainable violence! Conversely, once you're between the poor human beings, he's on no account a terrorist; he's greater like a crusader for equality. The poor artwork lots harder than the prosperous, and that they have got so much less to tutor for it; Robin Hood is merely working to get the poor human beings slightly greater to make their lives particularly greater effective, of their eyes.

I'm sure the wealthy of Notingham (sp?) would have thought so. They were usually seen as cruel tyrants who abused and took advantage of the common people, so the common people regarded Robin Hood as heroic. I guess that Osama has had schools, hospitals, and roads, and provided jobs in areas he has lived in, so is loved as a hero in those places. I don't think Robin Hood was reported to purchase weapons and attack other villages for his own belief system. He provided money for neccesities like food-not that I've studied everything about him, not an actual person in history is he?

No he was not, why ? Robin Hood was a nice thief, he steals from rich and wealthy people to give poors, I think he was justifying this by the idea that any wealthy person ,by a way or another, is a criminal [no wealth without a crime ]. I can add that Robin Hood was never a killer.

If you actually study the 'legend' of Robin Hood you will find that he was justified in all he did to fight against the unjust authorities of the era. The plot was made by Prince John to overthrow his brother...King Richard who was fighting in the crusades..Robin Hood was upholding King Richards return in all he did so he was a true loyalist to the Royalty of the time.
Please don't forget though that it is a legend....no-one knows how much of it is true although it is certainly 'based' on truths of some sort..
Best wishes, Mike.

Yes it does and would today probably be arrested under anti-terrorism laws.

The idea he stole from the rich to give to the poor is pure legend, he stole only for himself

Robin Hood didn't terrorize the rich; he stole from them and, if they didn't fight too much, he gave them a feast in the green wood before releasing them. He avoided unnecessary killing.

By todays definition - yes if you were a King John supporter

To Richards supporters - a freedom fighter

I guess it has always depended on who's side you were on
