They are banking on winning the elections with outdated issues, not solutions. They could care less about the economy, good government, or finding a solution. There main objective is to keep every issue they raise rather than solve one. Cite one issue they have a real solution for that would remove it from their agenda for ten years. This Immigration mess is typical. I recently saw a list of 20 deficiencies in the Senate Bill. That is not a solution it is a smoke screen. All it will do is bankrupt the country sot they can get illegal aleins who shouldn't have a vote voting for them.

Whether they're banking on it or not, the post-war boom will be an explosion as the result of the next terrorist attack on American soil. What's next? Does the Sears Tower have to come down before they get a clue?

sadly for the logic of your question - the war on terror has nothing whatever to do with the occupation of iraq.
