Why get nervous? The Yankees will start facing better teams soon and go back to being a .500 team and also the Red Sox will snap out of their slump.
This weekend will be tough for the Yankees, Clemens is pitching tonight and I think he is going to get shelled, he has yet to prove he can pitch still. Tommorow the Yankees will definetly lose, Glavine against Clippard, Clippard is a young kid not ready for the majors yet. Sunday night will be a good match up Orlando Hernandez vs Wang could go either way. I think the Mets will take two of three from the Yankees and the Yankees will lose ground to the Sox.

They do need to start getting scared. 7.5 games is two series. If the Yankees win 6 of those games and the Red Sox lose 5 of them that's another 3 games off the lead. And if the Tigers lose we could lead the Wild Card. However there is a lot of time in the season and one slump by A-Rod and the Yankees are going downhill. There's still a hundred games left, and it looks like we're going to see a battle to the finish.

By the end of June, the Sox'll be crapping themselves. I don't know about a sweep against the Mets, it's always a tough series, nomatter whose struggling. I'd say we'll take 2 of 3 to even it up for the season at 3 a piece.

Red Sox fans should be worried because New York is only 3 1/2 games out of the wild card. Do you want to face New York in the playoffs Red Sox fans??

haha yes mathematically a back and forth sweep this weekend would only put the yanks 3 back of boston
(by back and forth i mean the yanks sweep their 4 against the mets and the red sox get swept by the giants)
it is starting to look better for the yanks. this past week theyve kept winning and boston has kept losin
and the matchups this weekend are gonna be killer. this yank/mets series is gonna be awesome!!!!!!!!!!

No worries.
The Yankees are still in a big hole of their own making. The nine-game win streak is good, but (a) it won't last and (b) the team is not nine-game win streak good. That's been a bit of luck and it's not going to recur later in the season. Expect a lot of 4-3, 3-4, 3-3 weeks to come.
Still 7.5 back. Long way to go, but longer for Noo Yawk than for Boston.
