I have an M.D. and PhD (biochemistry) degree from a foreign country and want to work in the US but I am facing difficulties finding a job because I have no US employment history which is needed for high level positions and I am too qualified for entry level positions (even though I would accept them). Any tips where to search ?

Make as many personal contacts as you can, including through professional societies in your field. They are your best path into a job. Use professional job search counseling. They have faced this before. The fact that your employment history is outside the US is less important than it once was. Offer English copies of your publications if they are not in English or are hard to find. There are many, many non-native MD's in the US, so that might be a good path. Try to join up with currently practicing MD's from your country, or at least who speak your native language.
