No, because to me birth control prevents a life being created, while abortion takes a life already created. Its better to prevent in my mind then to kill.

Birth control is definitely not a form of abortion. There is nothing there to terminate with birth control!
Also the morning after pill (like another poster stated) is NOT a form of abortion either. It is the same thing as birth control pills but, in a higher dosage. It is taken within 72 hours after intercourse. Sperm and egg have not even met yet. It only prevents them from meeting.
I think this person is referring to the RU-486 pill which is NOT the same as the morning after pill.
Good luck!

some birth controls are the same as abortions like the morning after pill, that kills the baby and some other ones are too. in a way some ppl see condoms and the pill as a fform of abortion since it unnaturally prevents life from being created.

No. Birth control prevents an egg from being released for conception so there never is a baby. With abortion, there is an actual baby already in there.

Interesting question.
If you take it literally, the answer is "no". Abortion is removing a fetus when a sperm has already fertilized an egg. Birth control prevents the sperm from fertilizing the egg in the first place.

But if you consider it on a moral standpoint...it's a little more grey, I suppose. Is preventing nature from taking it course abortion? I would say not, but others may disagree.

no...... birth control prevents getting pregnant, not aborting it.
The smart thing to do is use some type of birth control if you do not want or are unable to take care of a child, so your next question is not asking where to go for an abortion.
good luck

No. Condoms prevent sperm from fertilizing eggs, bc pills prevent eggs from being released in order to be fertilized. In both cases conception has not occurred. Since conception is the biological point of human life, anything that prevents this is not considered a termination of life. Abortion is of course the termination of a conceived embryo, therefore it is not even in the same league as pills or condoms.

birth control is used to prevent conception. therefore there is no baby involved. just eggs. abortion kills an unborn innocent baby. that has already been planted by the egg and sperm binding together. therefore abortion and birth control are two totally different things.

alot of the religious right pro life campaigners do believe that birth control is the same as abortion. I think its a ridiculous standpoint.
