Dr. put me on clomid but what all is it good for?

Next time you should research a drug and know how it works before agreeing to use it.

Clomid helps annovulatory women ovulate. Do you have PCOS? If so, it's the first line defense for infertility.

You will need to do basal body temp charting, OPK's, or ultrasound to find out if you're ovulating so you know if the dosage is correct.

If you do ovulate, then your chances of becoming pg are pretty good, barring any other infertility issues (male or female).

I think of all the fertility drugs out there, Clomid is the safest. It has a way less chance of getting you pregnant with a multiple pregnancy and it is a gentler way to kick start your system to do its own thing. Most of the people I know who have taken Clomid wind up having a second pregnancy without the aid of the drug.
It helps to regulate your ovulation cycle. It may take a while, but you will get back on track. Be patient and don't make making love a chore or an end to justify a means. You will have a baby, just be patient and don't forget to enjoy each other! *babydust*

It is said to make u ovulate... I have been prescribed with clomid too...today is day 1
