We just grad school and we are thinkign of having a Road Trip but we don't know where to. We are in TN, our original idea was Miami but then we said that was kinda close and wanted something further away, but I stil opted for that place. Where else could we go? Thanks!

Head west young man, head west. Nothing like a road trip to the west coast. Head up to Chicago and pick up the old route 66 trip to LA. Much of it is now interstate and doesn't even say 66 on it anymore, however plenty of it does. It's a great trip to see much of the country and live a little of it's car history at the same time. Depending on how much time you have, you can head back through Las Vegas and Utah into Wyoming and Yellowstone national park. From there head east back to TN. However if you have lots of time, head up the coast to San Francisco, Napa and on into Seattle. From there you can head down into Wyoming on the way back to TN.

Not Miami. Too hot and muggy this time of year. I'd head west, to the Rockies, than north to near Canada, head west again to Seattle, than down the West Coast to San Diego, back across the desert through Texas and return to Tennessee. You'll have it all, then: Various climates, microbreweries, big cities, small towns, wilderness, historic sites and national parks -- and when you get to Southern Cal, well, let's just say the Beach Boys were sincere when they said they wished they all could be California girls. (I'm assuming you guys are in fact, guys).
