Often i find my dreams turn into a semi-reality. Not always but sometimes. For instance I dreamed that I would find a new job in a place starting with a 'k' and then the next day, out of the hundreds of jobs I applied for, I got one in a place beginning with a 'k'. I dreamed of winning the lottery, and then played the numbers from my dream and won a significant amount (though not the whole lottery!!!). Exam results, old friends suddendly getting in touch. Every day things happen and then I suddenly rememeber that i'd dreamed it happening last night.

The dreams aren't always acurate i.e. people in my dream may not appear in reality.

Do others have experiences like this? Do you think it's a lost sixth sense? Any other ideas to explain it?

never had a dream I won lottery before and never since, nor have i ever won anything before or since.

Job was completely random; chosen on a random basis (no interview etc.) Was a name out a hat type thing, with many of us going all over the country to different places.

There were around 300 places I could have got a job 3 which started with a k.

Many things can be explained away as coincidence or selective memory, but there are some events that truly cannot be explained. If you are going to note the times that you won the lottery based on your dream numbers, also try to recall other times that you've dreamed of numbers when they did not win you money. Related to the job, how many places starting with 'k' did you apply to? These are the types of questions that need to be asked if you are going to get a real answer on whether your experience was coincidental or truly an anomaly.

There are people who have been studying this topic for many years, and there is statistically significant proof that humans do have experiences that cannot currently be explained by standard science. If you are having dream experiences, it could be a sign of latent clarvoyance or precognition. If you want more information about this topic, there is an international association of parapsychologists that have been studying these abilities. Here's the website:

If you learn about the subject and nurture your abilities, you can actually learn to control them and use them more productively. Good luck!

Humans do have a sixth sense, but what you are describing has nothing to do with it.

The sixth sense is the ability to see, feel, and sense spirits and presence. Very few people haev developed this sense to the extent needed for it to be f any value to them.

What you are describing is a subliminal prompt.

Place starting with 'K': You were probably pretty sure that you where going to get the job - ergo your mind constructed a dream about you getting the job.

Lottery: Like most people, you've probably dreamed of winning the lottery dozens of times and had no such results. This one's just happenstance.

Exam results: You where confident that you did well on the exam (or where going to)(wether consciously or not) - ergo your mind constructs a dream depicting a good grade.

Old friends getting in touch: something made you think of that person. They probably saw the same thing, and that made them think of you - hence they call.

. . . "then I suddenly remember that I'd dreamed it happening last night." - all of these are either 'self-fullfilling prophesies' or 'post prophetic ascription'.

Do others have experiences like this?
Certainly. Only weeks ago I predicted a major tragedy in my family, because I saw it in a dream. The full script of the dream played out the next day.
Is this linked to any "sixth sense"? No. It's all linked to the capabilities of your subconscious.

Oh my God I have several times. I had a dream that I met a guy in the doctor's office and he was a singer who was with his manager waiting to see the doctor who was also a music producer. They had a keyboard with them and some drums We danced and sang in the office and had a good time. A couple of days later I met a guy who was a rapper who produced his own tracks and wrote his own raps. He looked similar to the guy in my dream. We hit it off really well.

Another dream was I had a dream I would get into a car accident. It was a recurring dream. Within three months I got into a car accident (2006). Also before I had that accident three years before I had an accident. With the first accident I kept feeling as if something bad was going to happen to me but I didn't know what. I told my best friend and kept praying about it but couldn't shake the feeling. Within 3 months I had a car accident (2003).

I could go on and on but let's just say I can feel or I dream when something dramatic will happen to me. I've had good experiences as well. I dreamed my friend would have her baby early and the baby I saw in the dream looked similar to the baby she actually had. She had the baby early like my dream predicted.

Sort of scares me sometimes.

I believe most do but most don't know how to 'tune' into it as it were. There must be many times where people have not turned down a dark alley because something is telling them not to or they KNOW whose at the door or on the other side of the phone line when it rings before they answer. These things are intuition. Nowadays life is full of distractions but people of ancient times seemed to 'tune' in quite regularly. Btw dreams are slightly different from what I described above because dreams are meant to be open to interpretation. But sixth sense is when you sense things that are about to happen or has happened.

I think we absolutely have extra senses that aren't recognized. I get this eerie feeling and each time I've had it, someone I know dies. I also am uncannily good at guessing numbers, words, etc. when people are having me guess random things or in card games. Lots of times, I just know what's going to happen like a split second before it does. It's really creepy, but it's also kind of cool.

I had a dream about zombies last night, so hopefully that one doesn't come true : )

Yes our mind has the power of sixth sense which is being exhibited from time to time ... but all thoughts need not be of sixth sense ... we need a clean and clear mind to exactly understand this phenominon.
Actually the deepest complex truth is that ' the future is the past and past is our future' {don't get confused - its a deepest godly secret}

Some times during dreams or during thinking process our astral body gathers the information from the time cycle and this is exhibited some times in the form of sixth sense.

What had happened is what is going to happen (on a large scale of time)

I call my 6th sense "deja vu". It happens kind of like watching a mini movie clip. I will see something happening or an experience and then later see it exactly like the "clip". It is not always a good experience. I just wish that there was a way to change the future when you know something is going to happen. But yes, others do have it too. Here is how "How Stuff Works" explains it.

They say the sixth sense is seeing dead people.(Ghosts) I guess it could be scary because its also said That ghosts are on earth to do something then move on. So maybe someone with a sixth sense would have to help them.

I've had similar experiences where I felt like something in reality has happened in my dream. Yes I think we have some kind of a sixth sense but there's no scientific way of knowing what exactly goes on in the mind.
