Depends on your lifestyle, if your not home much a cat would be better because their independent and don't require much attention and to go out all the time but if your only gone on an average of 8 or 9 hours a day and can devote lots of time for training, want a great companion, a dog would be best. Their so lovable. I like both, but love dogs and have two right now, had 4 till the Mommy and Daddy passed last year due to old age.

Definitely cats. Granted, they might not like to sit and cuddle with you as much as dogs do, but I still think they're a lot cuter than dogs, and not nearly as violent. (You never see any movies about killer cats do you? It's just the dogs that get all the gory publicity. Example: Cujo (1983), Rottweiler (2005), The Omen (1976) which wasn't really about a dog, but the devil did use a dog to possess people to kill themselves, or to have their fate changed so that they would get killed within the next five minutes or so, which is what happened to the priest, the photographer, the little devil boy's (Damien's) father, the nanny, Damien's mother, the Mom's real baby, etc... I mean, cats are too cute. Like in Shrek 2 and 3. Puss in boots. Is he not the cutest little thing you ever did see? What about That Darn Cat? The cat may be a little bit mischievous, but hey! A little mischief doesn't make a cat not cute! In fact, about 99% of the movies I've seen, the main character or any character in the movie has a pet, and its usually a cat (with the exception of Air Bud, of course). There are too many to name. But anyway, thanks for asking. I hope I didn't waste your time with all of this carrying on, per say, but I do enjoy answering surveys immensly.
Thanks again!

I love both equally for their differences and similarities.
So, basically, just ask yourself a few questions about your life style then figure out which fits in best because within each species there are different characteristics within the breeds. It's really hard on a loving animal to live a lifestyle not well suited to it although they do so try to fit in.

There are lots of sites on the web to help better inform oneself about each species and breeds. Might take some time to arrive at your answer but rest assured, it will be the right answer.

I dont give a d*@n wat nebody say dogs are way better they didnt get the name mans best friend 4 nuthin. And plus cats used ta make us work for them a long............................long.......................long time ago until the dogs ran them away. I mean dogs are like people, they can be ur friend, u can talk to them and they'll listen,u can exercise with them, theyre fun to play with, they are the cutest things on earth when they are puppies, they are great child's pets, and they are super fun. (I know I all ready put that but that just makes it better) As u can tell, l love dogs!!

depends on what you had growing up. cats are easier to take care of, smell less, and dont ******* BARK. some dogs are well behaved and have an excellent personality, though, but others i would like to punt their little yappy *** to the moon when they're barking at 2 am.

Dogs! I have the best dog. He loves to play fetch. He likes to sit on the couch and snuggle when I watch a movie. He loves kids and babies. He's always loyal, and when I'm sad he makes me laugh.
