I am pretty sick and tired of people using a false cry of racism to get what they want. So Why is the white Lawyer the only one in trouble here? He didn't say anyone raped him. While I agree his behavior is important, his reputation is destroyed , but would have well been destroyed if he would have dropped the charges. I can hear it now RACIST, RACIST. So far it looks like this girl needs to go to jail every bit as much as Paris Hilton. Nancy Grace , now that's a two teer system.

Well, the prosecutor made false statements, and basically ignored the whole "innocent until proven guilty" thing, so he should be in trouble regardless of race.

The woman who made the false accusations should also be in huge trouble based on the fact that she committed slander and libel, she made false statements to the police, etc... and I agree that regardless of race, she should have consequences. How many resources of her city/county/state were spent on that case? What city/county/state money was spent prosecuting a case against innocent people? She should be held accountable, in some way, for that. But it is not a matter of race. It is a matter of law.

No she doesnt need to go to jail for falsely accusing the rich privilage kids of rape. The guys got off and case close. They didnt get the proof that they needed to convict these kids. They are free. She may have made up these stories af rape but how about she and her coworkers being lone amongst a bunch of white hormoned young men and being racially harrassed? Yes it is so easy to bully females let alone being of a completely different race. You can't justify being who you are. I am sure these females have always been constantly abused verbally and physically, especially in the type of field they work in. These girls somehow have to defend themselves when things get a little rough. Did these white kids hire black dancers to appreciate thier abilities or did they think seeing them would be a freak show that they can take advantage of?
Now that these kids are set free and they are now seen as innocent. Nifong will have his day in court and the girl that accused the kids of rape should need counseling. Clearly she needs some mental help not jail time.

Haven't you people even seen the police report...something did happen...money was stolen, females were held against their will...and evidence consistent with forced sex was there.
The word of the party was spread with the notion that harm would be done to the dancers who came...and then some DID happen.

You tell me which is more plausible:
The Duke University sons of some very wealthy parents get off for behaving badly with a Black stripper

OR

That Black stripper who's a student at NC Central will actually be able to fight against all that money and privilege?

What country have you people been living in where you think that Black women are sending White men to jail on trumped up rape charges?

White men have been able to rape Black women in this country for centuries, regardless of whether their own wives, or the husbands of their victims were eyewitnesses or not...read a book.

A cry of rape is not a cry of racism...it's a cry for justice...there are plenty of Black (and White) men in prison right now serving false rape sentences...if you check the stats, you'll see that the majority of those men were put there on the word of white women...the way it's always been!

They had to make an example out of him. A rich white man in trouble is the highlight of a person of color's week.

If the girl got in trouble, it would have been OJ all over again anyway. The race card would have been pulled and she would have gotten away with it. So might as well not even waste court money on that one.

Beats me, she committed a crime by falsely accusing 3 men of rape. I have heard some black people say, so what, we are just getting even.

I think she should. The problem with this is that the Duke players families just want so segment of justice. It started here w/ Mike Nifong. Where this will lead, who knows!
