Nobody questions hetrosexuality, so why do people question us on something that is equally unchanganle and unimportant?

Its interesting. Thats the main reason. If knowledge is deprived then its desired. If i dont know something i get the urge to find out about it. I dont always do it but i like to try. Its like getting a radio and pulling it apart to see what makes it work. I find when you can understand why something is it becomes even more beutiful and amazing than simply an unknown.

Really, that's not a bad question, but it sounds like you're not old enough to have given this much real thought. So consider this...

The urge to reproduce (i.e., the "sex urge") is a purely fundamental part of all living things. It can't get much more basic, in terms of instinctual behavior. Certainly being gay is more than a sexual urge, but it's also inseparable from all other aspects of being gay.

So, when this ultra-basic urge, which is there to facilitate reproduction, somehow ends up with certain individuals feeling a desire for their own gender, it IS something of mystery. It makes no sense to question hetero behavior since it will lead to reproduction. Being gay, on the other hand, is well...a bit mysterious.

Note that what I've said makes no judgments, and is not an "emotional" response--unlike some of the things I've read here already. It's just curiosity about a intriguing reorientation of a basic biological pairing. However (and this is big), some will interpret this innocent question in all sorts of insulting ways, AND there are those who even ask the question AS an insult. So, it gets tricky.

The point is, curiosity about being gay is entierly fine, but using this curiosity to be hatful is not

It's not a question , it's a sin . Read the Bible about what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah , the Dead Sea is the remnants of those cities . Just because you want or crave something ,that doesn't make it right . Look at drug or alcohol addicts . Does it become right , just because they can't help their craving . No ,we chastise them . Why? Because it's a sin , it's immoral .It's bad for society as a whole .It doesn't support our social structure . It doesn't perpetuate the human race . It's not natural . I'm sure that some people are born that way , just like other addicts are born . That's their cross to bear .They need to stop placing themselves first and think about the total picture . They need to rise above their base desires , and stop thinking they are more special than the rest of us . Just like every one else , they need to say no to all sin.

Because all of their other non-religion-based arguments in favor of continued discrimination against gays and lesbians have been thrown out by the legal, medical, and scientific communities. Most fair-minded people have the intelligence to see through the silly "ideal family" and "slippery slope" arguments; permitting equal recognition of same-sex couples would not result in a single child being denied an "ideal family", and if men demanding the right to marry their dogs was a legitimate concern they'd push for a constititutional amendment that says "marriage shall be limited to two consenting adults"- Period, end of discussion.

But it's really irrelevant because in a free society with freedom of religion, unless an individual's personal decisions have infringed on the personal or property rights of others, he or she remains entitled to fair and equal legal protection and a fair and equitable tax system. Diverting the discussion into these side-issues is really all the Religious Right has left, short of admitting that their goal is to impose their religious beliefs on others.

Can you please site in the Bible where homosexuality is mentioned, please also site all the homosexual couples that made this world what it is today. Also please site how homosexuality started and what the true meaning behind it is. Who was the first homosexual couple? Not Rosie or any famous couple who "came out of the closet", but who pioneered this way of acting and thinking?

Be education about your life, if you have no clue about the above are you really education on homosexuality?

Its not that heterosexual people are uneducated, its not understanding why people do this and think its natural, its not understanding how people got this way and why they feel its acceptable.

I don't care who you are or what you do, but please if you can give any exmaples of past world leaders, political leaders, religious leaders, or Biblical verses they help to educate hetrosexuals maybe that would help with understanding. Just a suggestion I guess.

I think there are a mixture of causes why people are interested in origins of gay sexuality -

firstly, we live in an era of post-victorian sexual attitudes that have pervaded, from when most things sexual were viewed as 'bad'. One of the last taboos that is crumbling away, is still gayness. So it's partly driven from deep-seated unease towards things sexual.

Then there's the religious fanatics who still flame hatred, and would wish our sexuality non-existent. They have disliked gay people becoming more vocal and open.

It's also human nature to want to understand things that they find confusing or unusual and a desire for things to be as clear as black and white, even when things may not be as simple.

Then there's ourselves, many of us would like to understand ourselves better, often after alot of shame and guilt has been passed onto us from society. A cause holds the allure of providing us with some mental rest, after finally 'knowing' something. It's probably fools gold, as the flack from others is still likely to hit us.

Psychology becoming more mainstream has also influenced people to understand others to a greater extent too. We've made huge advances in recent decades - of course, a genetic cause would still likely get people looking for psychological reasons, even if proved beyond doubt.

I've just touched on a few things, much of which is driven by many people's lack of comfort with gay 'lifestyle' and their need to understand people as if we are mechanical bodies. (To some extent this includes gay people too). Hope this helps your insight.

As a side-track, the US military spent $millions recently creating a spray, to make their enemies become actively gay - behaviour, not fully gay, though this is a somewhat secret development:

"Sexuality" in general is a recent invention, but sex surely isn't. Boy-girl sex has a rather obvious purpose related to human survival. The general assumption in pretty much every time and place has been that pretty much all people would do it. The "odd" thing about queers (and I am one) is that we don't - we are not sexually attracted to those of the opposite gender and so call into question that universal assumption. Seems a reasonable thing to wonder about, though not I hope to try to fix.

Well, it's important to question for the homosexuals really because they want to make you believe that they were "born with it" but in reality every single homosexual I have asked about why they are the way they are "100%" have told me:

"It's my choice"!

So they like to be questioned and prodded (pampered as they see in a way) so they can make up excuses to fool themselves before the world and God, but everyone is onto them, even other ones like themselves and they only fool themselves. They lust after the flesh in an unnatural manner and it's their choice to do so, not anyone else', but their own.

1 Corinthians 6: 9 -11 ...."men who lie with men, men who use the flesh unnaturally...will not inherit God's kingdom"..

because it's interesting! it's great to understand genetics, what is biologically determined and what is learnt. It means we understand the human brain and DNA better than we did before.
just because you study the origins of homosexuality, doesn't mean you hate gay people!

It boils down to the simplest of forms...IF homosexuality were a choice, the fundies would have a leg to stand on. They will fight to the death the idea of Gay being inherited! Their whold belief system is at stake here..
